Cappapinos Cafe occupies a modest footprint on Macquarie Street, serving a steady flow of locals and city workers looking for a straightforward, no-fuss breakfast or lunch. The vibe is casual and unpretentious, with a small outdoor seating area that faces greenery—a quiet contrast to the surrounding city bustle, though the nearby traffic can be heard on occasion. This setup makes it a practical spot for a quick bite rather than a lingering café hangout.

The menu leans into classic breakfast and brunch staples, with particular attention to simple sandwiches and wraps that work well for takeaway or a relaxed sit-down. Popular picks from the lineup include the scrambled egg wrap and the beef sandwich, both filling and reasonably priced. If you're passing through in the morning, their Eggs Benedict with ham or a straightforward English breakfast could be a satisfying start to the day.

Cappapinos also offers a range of refreshing cold drinks including iced coffees and fruit smoothies—a nice touch for warmer Sydney days when something cool complements the food. Service tends to be efficient and friendly, keeping the line moving during busy breakfast rushes.

This café best suits those who want a reliable, budget-friendly breakfast or lunch option near the city’s green spaces without pretense. It draws a mix of office workers grabbing a quick bite, locals who appreciate the outdoor seating facing greenery, and anyone in need of a straightforward meal that won’t slow down a busy morning. The sweet offerings like banana bread and simple croissants complete a practical menu that fits into daily routines rather than special occasions.

For a quieter experience, late mornings after the early rush are ideal, when you can take advantage of the outdoor tables and a glimpse of green amid the urban surroundings. While the café lacks a cozy interior atmosphere or a calm retreat from the city noise, it reliably serves its role as a casual breakfast spot where good coffee and solid food come together without fuss.

Came here for small breakfast in the morning. Order inside and can do take away or sit at the outdoor tables. Enjoyed a latte and scrambled egg wrap. Very tasty, nice staff, and great price.

Best brunch I ever had in a long time. Crispy skin salmon is amazing, fresh, juicy, well seasoning and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend 10/10

Lovely place. I only gave three stars for atmosphere because their sidewalk area is on a rather busy road. It’s not bad but it’s not great. Still pleasant and good value.

What a hidden gem! I wish I discovered it earlier. Walked by the building many times but didn’t see the cafe/kitchen inside. Good food, generous portion, good coffee, great price and super friendly staff. How is getting a full plate of big brekkie at $12 even possible in Sydney? It is now my go to place in that neighborhood.
